Two weeks until Christmas! Where does the time go?
Have you done all your Christmas shopping? I haven’t done one bit! Currently watching ‘A Miracle on 34th St.’ then planing on heading out for some Sunday shopping. Not looking forward to it if I’m honest, all that chaos!
In the meantime, I’d like to share my most recent project with you all. I’m so happy to be sharing this craft project with you, I’ve been thinking about doing this project for about 6 months now! Ever since our wedding day and we received all these beautiful cards. And now it is done!
What with Christmas fast approaching I thought I should take down the cards ready for the Christmas decorations.
After our wedding we had loads of lovely wedding cards, which we hung across the wall in our dining room. I knew we’d want to keep hold of them, but I didn’t want them to languish in a box. I searched the internet for ideas and found some here and here and here and here and here….
I’ve always wanted to have a go at bookbinding and I found a great tutorial here…..
So, I thought I’d have a go at binding all our wedding cards together!
I decided that as there were so many of them and they were in 3 distinct size groups, I decided to make books all of different sizes.
I had some fabric leftover from the making of my bridesmaids dresses and chose to use this as the cover of our wedding card books.
I won’t show you the hows and how to’s as this blog post does that too well. So here’s the finished product!

I am so incredibly pleased with how they have turned out!
